Now, we live in a multi-computer world.
You have a laptop when you travel, and you have a desktop at work.
You want to work in all of these environments, and your Creative Cloud membership
is going to let you do this.
One of the great things about your membership is that the desktop apps
that you download from Creative Cloud have the same licensing agreement
as the applications you buy as boxed software.
That means you can install the apps on two machines--
a primary and a secondary computer--
as long as you don't run them at the same time.
Now, this is my main computer, and you can tell
by all the icons that I have here.
And I'm running right now Photoshop, all right?
So if I were to take a look at, say, the application manager,
you'll see that I do have Photoshop installed and I also have Muse installed.
That means that I can come over here, and I can just click and start Muse
without a problem.
Now, what if I wanted to run this on a second machine?
How would I do that?
Okay, so now here we are on another computer, and I want to install Muse
on this new machine.
I'm going to go over to the Creative Cloud, and I'm going to go ahead and sign in.
Now, this is a new machine--I haven't done anything with it--
so you'll notice if I go over to the apps and services section,
I have to install the Adobe Application Manager.
I'm going to go ahead and go through that process now.
Once the Adobe Application Manager is installed,
you're going to log in with the same user name and password
that you would use when you're logging into the Creative Cloud.
I'm going to go ahead and put in my information here and click on Sign In.
Now I have access to all of these applications.
Notice that Muse I can still install here.
What if my second machine happened to be a PC?
That wouldn't be a problem; the Creative Cloud membership
gives you access to both platforms, so Mac or Windows--you'd be good to go.
I'm going to click on this Install, and it will download,
and I'll install the program right on my machine.
Now that Muse is finished installing, I can go ahead and launch the app.
We'll click on Launch App here, and we're good to go.
So now I can do whatever work that I need to do here.
As soon as I finish all of my work here, I can go ahead and just quit out of Muse.
Back at this laptop--now I want to go ahead and start Muse.
I'll come down here, go to the Muse icon, and Muse starts with absolutely no problem.
But now let's go ahead and talk about another scenario.
What if you have another computer?
Let's say you bought a new computer and you want to load Creative Cloud applications onto it?
Well, in order to do that, you're going to have to de-provision
one of the two computers you've already set up.
Now, to do that I'm going to go ahead and go over here to the Help menu,
and you'll notice that you have an option for Deactivate Adobe Muse.
Once Adobe Muse is deactivated, you're good to go.
You can install on that new machine.
The other good part here is that if you deactivate one application
it deactivates all of the apps that were downloaded from the Creative Cloud,
so you don't have to deactivate each one.
Okay, so now here we are in a brand-new machine.
You'll see that if I go to my applications, there is no Adobe stuff installed.
What if you run into a problem?
What if you have a third machine because one of your two machines died
and you need to install your application, but you didn't get a chance
to de-provision one of the two machines that you had?
Well, what do you do now?
The great part about this is that all you need to do is log on to the Creative Cloud,
download the Adobe Application Manager,
and just run through the installation.
Once the Adobe Application Manager has been installed,
all we need to do is just go ahead and sign in with this.
Now that we've signed in, we'll go ahead and we'll accept
the software user agreement.
And we can go ahead and just go over to Muse, and we'll install Muse.
Now, as soon as Muse starts, you're going to get a message that's going to say
that your maximum number of activations have been exceeded.
It recognizes that part of your Creative Cloud membership has those two other machines
activated and now there's a third machine that's being introduced.
If you click on the Continue button, it's going to deactivate or de-provision
those two other machines, and this machine is going to get
one of your two activations.
Clicking on Continue will do that; you'll see this splash screen again,
and then from there you'll be brought right back to the main window.
Now, this is using one of your two activations.
Now we're back on my main machine.
I already have Muse installed here; it was just deactivated by activating that third machine.
So clicking on this--Muse will go ahead and start.
You'll see this splash screen, and now this machine has the second of your two activations.
The machine now works with no problem.
