[CS6]
[Bryan O'Neil Hughes] [Senior Product Manager, Photoshop] One of the things
that we heard in the research leading up to Photoshop CS6 is that users enjoy
having a 1-click method for quickly and easily
changing the entire look of their photo,
and so Photoshop gives you some different ways to do that,
but we've added a couple of new ones.
Here's an image off of my iPhone,
and I'm going to come to my brand-new Color Lookup Adjustment Layer,
and there's a whole bunch of preset content on here.
Let's choose one of these,
and you can see that the image changes,
but one of the ways to get an even different look from it
is to play around with the blend modes.
Multiply, overlay.
That one looks great.
Let's pull the opacity down a little bit,
and remember that the other thing we can do with blend modes
is we can mask, and with layers we can mask,
so we could really hone in on specific areas.
Now, what's great here in Photoshop CS6
is that rather than applying things to a still image,
I can also apply it to video.
We've got this new video functionality, a really friendly timeline,
and all I need to do to apply preset content to the video
is to convert this to a smart filter.
It's essentially putting a wrapper around the whole video,
and if we go over here to our gradient map,
you can see that if you come in here and load the photographic toning presets,
you'll see the same list that I have here,
and there's some really great 1-click preset content
that could be used on stills or videos.
You could play around with those same blend modes,
and you see when I press play I'm applying that directly to the video.
That could be any filter or any adjustment layer.
There you see really quickly and easily
Photoshop CS6 can dramatically change the look of your still images and your videos.
