About This Episode
In the summer of 2012, 8 high school students from Kent-Meridian and Kent Phoenix Academy produced this video which was broadcast on TV stations, such as Kent TV 21 and streamed on the internet.The overarching goal of the video is to increase community awareness about food security issues during these difficult economic times. New statistics reveal that 1 in 5 Kent residents are experiencing food scarcity. The project is in partnership with the City of Kent Housing & Human Services Division, Communities In Schools of Kent, Kent Phoenix Academy and Kent-Meridian High School.
