Paul Trani, Developer Evangelist]
Hi, my name is Paul Tranni. I'm a Developer Evangelist for Adobe.
I want to show you how you can take multiple tweens in your timeline
and scale them appropriately all at once.
This is great for a multi-screen workflow.
You can have an animation that's built for a smaller device
that you might need to scale up, or it could be a banner ad.
Really, you can use this for a number of things, but it's nice
that I can easily do this.
This should be pretty quick. It's very powerful.
Here I have a pretty straight-forward animation.
If I just hit the "Enter" key, you can see that leaf fall down,
just like that, and some other
animation going on--basically a mask that's moving in.
It looks pretty slick, but you can tell right at the beginning
that you just can't see that logo.
You can't read it.
So what I'd like to do is take these two different tweens
not only of this text sliding in, but also that leaf falling,
and I want to move it to the side.
I'm going to go ahead and lock down all my layers, except for those 2 layers.
So with the leaf and logo layer unlocked,
I can go ahead, and since I want to edit multiple frames,
I'm going to go ahead and turn on the "Edit Multiple Frames" button.
I'll expand that out to about right there.
How about frame 50.
And as I click around and see how that can adjust--
and really what I want this to be is make sure my
playhead is right there in its sort of final position.
But nonetheless, this is the content that
I want to go ahead and move in scale.
Again, with "Edit Multiple Frames" on, all I need to do
is do a "Select All."
It will select both of those tweens.
It can be a number of things.
It doesn't have to just be these motion tweens.
It can be shape tweens or whatever the case may be.
Again, selects everything.
And now what I can do is I can move them over,
just like that.
In fact, if I hit the "Q" key, which basically changes it
to the free transform tool, I can scale
this content up as well.
And it's not only scaling up the content,
but it's also adjusting these timelines--these motion paths--as well.
So I don't have to go in and do any rework as far as repositioning anything.
All right. That looks better.
I like that position more.
As I hit "Enter," you can see that kind of slide into place.
It's larger, and I can actually read that logo.
And lastly, all I'm going to do is I'm going to turn on this loop tool.
This loop tool is new in Flash CS5.5,
and it enables me to just loop through an animation.
So we'll just watch this play through.
You can see that stop, and it will play
over and over again automatically.
So, this is actually a really powerful feature,
being able to just scale up my tweens,
if I'm dealing with a multi-screen workflow.
This is really helpful and just really easy to use.
So thanks so much for watching.
