Adobe Acrobat 9 can help you easily communicate with your team.
Here we have a multi-page PDF document that will be viewed by people
who might have any of the Adobe Acrobat 9 versions or just the free reader.
[click] You can see that we have our team members who have already
checked their distribution boxes.
Now we're going to prepare the document for Marta, who will be
working from a laptop, but we don't know which version of Acrobat she'll be using.
So we'll choose the advanced menu and choose Extend Features in Adobe Reader.
Within Adobe Acrobat Pro or Extended, we can grant rights to the users of
Adobe Reader to enable for commenting, signing an existing signature field, or
even filling in forms and saving the data.
Before I click the Save Now, you want to make sure your document
is completely finished.
I'll click Save Now, and I will save this to the desktop.
Okay, so let's close this document and open up the document we created
in Adobe Reader 9.
Since we Reader-enabled this file, Marta will see the Sign task bar,
the Comment task bar, and the Document Message bar reminds us that we
can save this form, and we have form fields here.
So I'm going to go ahead and check off on Marta Robinson.
And I want to add a comment to this document, so I'm going to right-click
and bring up the Typewriter tool.
Once I press the Typewriter tool, I can click anywhere and begin typing.
And with the tool bar, I can format this and change the color.
But I want to add a comment, so I'm going to go to the Comment task bar,
and I could easily add a sticky note. But I want to see the whole
Comment and Markup tool bar, and now you can see all the choices you have.
And even under Stamps, we have menus where we can choose lots of different stamps.
In this case I'm just going to draw a rectangle just to highlight
the comment that I just made.
And our PDF is about done except for we want to sign this document.
So I'm going to go to the Sign task bar and choose Sign Document,
and it reminds me that I need to draw a shape to put in my ID.
And there's my ID, so I'll type my password and click Sign.
And I will save this to the desktop.
Okay. You can see that our document message bar has changed.
We see that we have a valid signature, and we enabled a regular PDF
using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro or Extended and allowed Adobe Reader
users to sign the document, comment, draw and markup, and even
save the completed form to our desktop for our records.
