Currently, professor at the Computer Science department, and director of the UOC's Multimedia degree program He has taught at various educational levels and areas, from adult to higher education, participated and coordinated diverse European projects (Socrates, E-Ten), and written several learning materials.
Jan de Coster, Erasmus Hogeschool Brussels, Belgium
Jan De Coster grew up with a vivid fascination for physics, science fiction stories and hacking stuff. In college he realized that all the stories around science were often far more appealing than the theory behind them. In the mid 90's he started on his first multimedia productions en eventually evolved to working in advertising, where he invented stories and games for online campaigns. But soon his interest in virtual worlds tiered, and he started to invent interactive machines in the real world. Besides working in his studio, Slightly Overdone, Jan also started teaching at Erasmus Hogeschool Brussels this year, telling students specializing in "Art & Technology" about the creative side of electronics and the design of interactivity in physical space.

Dale Pearce, Principal, Bendigo Senior Secondary College, Australia
Dale Pearce is the Principal of Bendigo Senior Secondary College, a Year 11 and 12 school of 1750 students which is Victoria’s largest provider of senior curriculum. The College has a national and international reputation for its innovative use of information technologies and development of practices applicable to teaching and learning at senior secondary school level. In addition to membership and leadership of a range of professional networks Mr Pearce is also a member of the Board of the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority. Since 2009 Mr Pearce has been the sponsor of the Victorian Virtual Learning Network (VVLN), which develops high quality, interactive, asynchronous senior school curriculum and delivers it to schools across the state. The VVLN currently delivers Mathematics and Sciences to 28 schools and will add an additional range of subjects in 2014.
