FrameMaker 12: Restore session & open files with Drag n' Drop
FrameMaker 12 adds two powerful new ways to open and close files. The open files pod enables you to close (with or without saving) multiple files in one action via "check box" choices. You can also select file icons (XML or *.fm) and drag the files onto a menu bar to open the files in FrameMaker 12. You no longer have to resize doc windows to open up FrameMaker "desktop" areas for drag n' drop actions.

FrameMaker and Word: working with sideheads
FrameMaker and Word: working with sideheads
FrameMaker 11 has a paragraph property that will allow headings to automatically position themselves in outer margins of pages. Retagging the para with a different style will restore normal position within the flow. Unlike Word, you do not need to resort to boxed text, anchored frames, or multi-step workarounds with section breaks.
