This Halloween Spooktacular Episode is from the early days of Layers TV. RC and Corey reconstruct the opening sequence using a variety of creative suite tools like Soundbooth, Illustrator, Premiere Pro and After Effects.
You will recognize this episode from earlier this year. Layers TV is place-holding this week while the podcast gets retooled. In this episode RC has tips about using Illustrator to create a brochure with text wraps inside. Corey shows how to customize your workspace in Photoshop and create an action that loads that workspace as soon as Photoshop opens.
Corey has some workarounds for animating rotation and scale in Photoshop CS4. RC talks about improving your experience in Adobe Bridge by getting better organized.
RC has a tutorial about using Lightroom and Flickr together to share your images with the world. Corey uses Illustrator and Photoshop to create some vintage graphics for a logo design.
RC has a Photoshop tutorial where he gets creative by adding textures to an image and experimenting with blend modes. Scott Kelby stops by the set to share 10 little-known tips for use with Photoshop.
Corey has a tutorial on using Adobe Illustrator's blend tool to create some super text effects. Special guest Matt Kloskowski shares some easy alternatives for watermarking your photos.
Special guest Dave Cross has a tutorial about how to setup an InDesign template that is great for presenting your photographs. RC opens up Flash and goes through the basics of using graphics, buttons, and movie clips.
Get smooth flawless skin, remove wrinkles and brighten eyes. Whilst the tutorial is very fast moving many of the techniques can be used in more detail to get some fantastic results. Its all non destructive and uses many layers.
RC has a viewer-inspired tip on using Illustrator's alignment tools with clipping masks. Corey opens up Photoshop and shows a tip on creating a stroke around text with an empty space between using layer styles.
Corey also talks about his tutorial in Illustrator, the tutorial shows us how to use the gradient mesh tool on type and how to get to get some cool effects. RC shows us how to take a Dreamweaver website and turn it into a desktop application using Adobe AIR.
For their 100th episode, Corey and RC have a special project involving many of the Adobe Suite applications. Corey creates an animation using Photoshop, Illustrator and after Effects. RC uses Soundbooth CS4 to create a soundtrack for the video clip. Be sure to stay tuned for the closing credits!
